Bio

Dimitra Kapsala is a screenwriter. Her latest work is in the critically acclaimed series The Beach (2023-2025), produced by Foss Productions and ERT (public broadcaster).

She is the Series Coordinator at the AGORA industry department of Thessaloniki International Film Festival.

She studied at the School of Film of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and has an MA in screenwriting.

The short film Driving Me Crazy (2024, dir. Meni Tsilianidou), which she co-wrote, won the Hellenic Film Academy award for best student film in 2025 as well as three awards at the student competition of Drama ISFF in 2024. It was also the Greek participation at Les Nuits en Or of the Académie des César in 2026.

The short film The Chaos She Left Behind (2023, dir. Nikos Kolioukos) in which she was the script editor received the second place award at La Cinef at Festival de Cannes in 2024.
